shield my

eyes

from the

sun

it burns

it hurts

and my

tears

shimmer in

the glare.

 

hide me

away

let me

sleep

and try

not to

weep

not to

shatter.

 

hide me

from the

sun

hide me

from life

that i

will never

feel this

sorrow

ever again.
