“Clementine: Half-peeled” – Manila, 03 December 2016

consider
incomplete things:
stories only
half-told
the introductory
riff
to a
song;
an image
half-risen
from the
marble
or the
canvas.

consider
unfinished business:
the cowardly
way
you keep
running
or hiding
behind the
smokescreen
of the
keyboard
of the
touchscreen
because you
dare not
look me
in the
eye;
of the
barbed words
you uttered –
or typed –
because you
dare not
look upon
my tears
and take
the blame
for the
pain.

keep running;
run
as fast –
as far –
as you
can
and i
will watch
as fate
gives chase
and pins
you down
to settle
every
single
score.
