“Metamorphosis” – Vladimir Kush, date unknown

the wind
sings its
haunting song
as it
winds
as it
weaves
through a
world
preparing for
winter.

leaves rustle
clouds fly
grass turns
brown
and crunches
and crackles
‘neath each
footfall
and a
sleepiness
slowly but
inexorably
crawls over
creation.

the wind
sings a
lullaby
that the
earth
might sleep
might rest
might heal
until spring
returns
and life
begins anew.
