Drowning Sorrows

Exif_JPEG_420
“Green Bottles” – Makati, 14 September 2016

staring
into space
with an
emptiness
howling in
one’s heart
and a
bitterness
on the
tongue;
half empty
bottle
of wine
within reach
and the
tears
won’t stop
falling.

rain
pouring down
like a
mourning
so deep
its release
drowns the
unwary;
the sky
shares my
mood
and my
anger
stays unspoken
because you
dare not
can not
will not
face me…

and the
tears
don’t stop
falling.
