“The Happy Blindness” – Sergio Bustamante, c. 2013

i wish
you’d open
your eyes
and see
that i
mean no
harm
that i
mean everything
i say
that there
is no
guile
in how
i feel.

but
if you
choose
to be
blind
to stay
blind,
who am
i
to keep
you
from what
makes you
happy?
