“Cold Marble” – Makati, 29 July 2016

walking silent
in these
cold
marble hallways:
feet
treading unheard
with heavy
heart
in tow.

the loneliness
the inadequacy
the bleakness
weigh heavily
on these
shoulders
and my
mind
spins on
restless
unsettled
bewildered.

and i
care not
to face
these fears;
and i
care not
to face
the world
and my
heart
and my
soul
seek only
rest
ere i
fall apart
completely.
