“Have a Heart” – Alabang, 09 August 2016 (modified with Prisma)

i don’t
care much
for undue
sentimentality
or cards
with mawkish
verses
cheaply sold
to the
masses.

don’t care
for roses
unless you
mean the
emotion
they symbolise;
don’t care
for dates
or candlelight
or string
quartets
playing silly
love songs
without a
heart.

i only
care
for the
verses
you inspire
for the
magic
of your
existence
for the
fact
that you
are unique:
and i
care.
