“White Orchids” – Makati, 29 July 2016

i’ll write
the tale,
i’ll chant
the lay –
but
for now
i rest.

today,
i stay
away
from the
world:
refocus
refresh
calm
center.

today
i clear
my head
and soothe
my mind
and sit
and sip
tea
in calmer
environs.

today
the world
can go
smash,
and others
can keep
playing
their games,
and you
sing
your songs,
and they
can keep
talking;
i will
deal
with you –
all
of you –
soon enough.

plot
my plans
some other
day;
till then
for now
i rest.
