Tread the Unmarked Path

“Porcelain Shoes” – Muntinlupa, 26 July 2016

put on
your walking
shoes
and say
goodbye
to your
old life;
set your
eyes
towards the
horizon
and never
look back.

choose
to tread
to seek
to cut
through
paths
no one
takes
and move
in a
different route;
why follow
the familiar,
why stick
with the
expected?

never follow
for blind
obedience
and slavish
imitation
ruin many
an original
soul.

choose
the unmarked
road,
choose the unknown
destination;
choose
to be
you.
