Without Words

“Little Pink” – Makati, 02 May 2016

trying to
forget,
striving to
forgive;
failing miserably
at both.

so i
stay out
among the
flowers
relishing their
silence,
how they
speak
with color
with line
with curve
without need
of words.

i think
of all
things
i did,
all the
words
i spoke
heedlessly
all the
words
that fought
back
and cut
and stabbed
and slashed
at my
heart
and die
of envy
wishing
that i
like the
flowers
could have
whispered
the truth
to you
without a
word.
