“In Lantern Light” – Bulacan, 27 May 2016

light the
lamps
at day’s
end,
and let
the lanterns
shine.

banish the
darkness
dispel your
fears
as the
twilight
is illuminated
by firelight.

and we
will sit
at table
break bread
sip wine
as we
discuss
dissect
divulge
the remains
of the
day
ere we
sit ‘neath
a starry
sky
and sleep
embracing
entwined.
