“Faerie Food” – Alabang, 28 May 2016

i would
feed you
flowers
and fruit;
fare
that befits
a faerie
prince
like you.

and we
would sip
nectar
from golden
goblets
as the
sun sets
and the
moon rises.

but i
know
‘neath it
all
you are
but a
man:
irritable
fallible
gullible
risible;
and you
have your
faults
and you
have your
foibles
and the
libations
and the
comestibles
before us
are all
mundane.

but a
girl
can dream
can imagine
can smile
and enjoy
this feast
in your
company.
