“Blue Plum” – Makati, 25 May 2016

take a
bite
into the
sweetness
of a
heart
lying open –
bared to
the world –
and shed
tears
of regret
at a
life
gone to
waste
gone too
soon;
just gone.

and take
stock
of the
world,
of the
people
around you:
what manner
of existence
is this
where love
is thrown
away,
where we
refuse
to see
both sides
of a
story,
where empty
adulation
and fame
and pride
and hate
are seen
as virtues?

i have
no answers,
i have
no comfort:
and another
heart
is consumed
by pain
by hate
by fear
by loathing.

there is
no justice
left
in the
world.
