“Maze Overhead” – Las Pinas, 09 April 2016

wandering through
the warrens
the corridors
twisting
hither and
yon,
chasing down
desires
chaste and
otherwise,
tracking down
dreams
visions spun
on the
spindles
in our
heads.

we are
but specimens:
test subjects
scrambling
rambling
scampering
through mazes;
locked up
in cages
in runs
of our
own design.

but someday:
we’ll find
the passageway
the path
the door
the way
out
and we
will never
turn back.
