“Vin Rouge” – Makati, 31 March 2016

red
like the
blood
surging through
my veins,
like rubies
like roses:
rich and
bright and
vivid.

sip
by sip,
letting it
flow
letting it
mingle
with my
blood
but never
letting it
get the
better
of me…

yet:
tears fall
and sighs
escape
parted lips
at the
memory
of a
bottle shared
long ago.

how the
sweetness
and the
sharpness
have lingered
long after
the last
drop
is gone.
