“Empty Rooms” – Parananque, 25 February 2016

pack up

clear out

and go:

there is

nothing

left for

you;

your tears

have run

their course,

your rage

has cooled,

your grief

will heal

in time.

but you

must go:

there is

no growth

here;

there is

no peace;

there is

only

the screaming

the hate

the envy

the monster

who seeks

to break

you –

or worse:

turn you

into a

mindless drone

or a

ruthless clone.

pack up

clear out

and go:

the world

outside

awaits you.
