Feast for Two

“A Feast for Faeries” – Alabang, 28 November 2015

“beware,”

he whispered

into my

ear,

“of the

food

and the

drink

the fae

may set

before you.

“nothing

is as

it seems;

nothing

is in

its place:

pretty plates

may bear

poisons,

and gilded

goblets

vile philtres.”

but i

cast

a glance

his way,

eyeing

pointed ears,

pale skin;

that odd

little smile

and wonder

about love

and life

and death

and bonds

unbreakable…

and i

take a

bite,

looking him

in the

eye –

without fear

without qualm –

knowing

full well

bonding

goes both

ways.

i am

his;

he is

mine.
