Ennui: Life Wasted

"The Persistence of Memory" - salvado Dali, 1931
“The Persistence of Memory” – salvado Dali, 1931

seconds

ticking by,

wasted

in senseless

tedium.

wearily

i watch

the hands

on the

clock

on my

watch

tick-tock

counterpoint

to the

beat of

my heart.

heart sinking

at the

road

before me:

static

standstill

slowed

by imbeciles

who pander

to skewed

agendas

penned by

ruthless

conniving

thieving

whining

megalomaniacs

driving chaos.

my time

wasted;

my life

on hold;

my world

in shambles.
