Tranquility

“Tête-à-Tête” – Batangas, 2012

watch

the world

go by

but be

not troubled

by the

darkness

that looms

overhead.

for though

the rain

falls

like the

tears

of legions

of angels,

and the

earth

trembles with

seizure

upon electric

seizure,

and the

winds

howl with

rage

railing at

the evils

the iniquities

of men:

open your

eyes

and see

the delicate

patterns

of motes

of snowflakes

of leaves

of petals;

the symmetry

of the

mountains

plains

valleys;

the many

quiet unsung

kindnesses

of the

human heart.

as long

as we

have beauty,

we always

have hope.
