for one

for a

job

well done,

for the

completion

of a

task

one dithered

over

for an

eternity.

 

letting the

taste

of lemons

tempered by

sweetness

linger in

one’s mouth;

sigh of

relief,

faint smile,

body relaxed

as one

partakes

of tea.

 

cup raised

for the

absent;

fork poised

for a

bite;

grace murmured

gratefully.

 

everything

now out

of my

hands;

leave it

to forces

divine

and let

me sup

in peace…

 

i only

wish

you

were

here.
