Cocooned

“Green Apple” – Vladimir Kush, 2001

seasons turning

in my

blood

as the

earth

spins on

and leaves

turn red

and the

fruits

of summer

ripen.

and i

cocoon

this broken

self

and hide

away

from the

world

seeking healing

from within;

falling

into slumber

necessary

wonted

imperative.

awaiting

a transformation;

and results

are random –

anything

can happen,

anything

goes.

monster

or faerie,

bugbear

or beauty:

no one

knows

what i

will be

when my

shell

cracks open.

i only

know

that i

will feed

upon

the fruit

of the

season

and change

forever.
