Breathing Space for One

“Saturday Solitude” – Alabang, 01 August 2015

alone

as usual;

naught but

my words

my coffee

for company.

solitary

by choice

for once;

confronting

one’s demons

amidst the

crowd;

a welcome

silence

in the

middle

of cacophony;

breathing space

after the

stifling

choking

crushing

griefs

of a

moon’s

worth of

duress.

alone

but not

lonely;

my coffee

more sweet

than bitter,

the words

flowing

smoothly

on the

blank page.

all is

calm;

so am

i.
