“And Away…” – Muntinlupa, 29 July 2015

plot my

escape

into the

great

world beyond

safe borders;

jump

out of

a stifling

comfort zone

and into

a sea

full of

sharks

and swim

sans fear.

shut my

ears

to the

braying

inane chatter

of critics

who know

nothing

of the

things

going through

my head

my heart

my soul.

there are

audiences

waiting;

there is

magic

to spin;

that hypnotic

pull

of words

considered

written

planted

into the

psyche

of readers

here

and there.

and i

contemplate:

where to,

what now,

why now…

and how?

letters

of interest

of acceptance

of congratulations

fill one’s

postbox

and plans

to fly

away

slowly gain

form

structure

substance;

slowly

surely

becoming real.

and the

things

once read

in books

are tangible;

and i

will regret

nothing

as i spread

these healing

wings

and go

where fate

tells me.
