Clear Your Mind

"Urban Meadow" - Makati, 09 July 2015
“Urban Meadow” – Makati, 09 July 2015

come take

a walk,

my dear;

let’s clear

our heads

of all

the bewildering

kerfuffle

we’ve stuffed

them with

over time

and breathe

deep

for once.

the city –

its rabble,

the honking,

the screeching

madness –

has taken

its toll

and our

hearts

are sore,

bodies

tired out.

minds almost

in shambles

but mercifully

not quite.

but the

green

meadows in

unexpected zones,

the trees,

the rills

hidden in

the heart

of this

urban jungle

soothe

our frazzled

spirits,

awaken

our blunted

senses;

touching

mending

healing.

let us

run through

the falling

rain

like giddy

children;

recapturing some

measure of

innocence

an iota

of freedom

and find

a place

a space

on this

expanse of

green

to just

rest.
