“Outage” – Muntinlupa, 05 July 2015

tell a

tale

by soft

candlelight

on a

night

when the

rain

falls over

this city

in sheets,

in a

torrent.

send a

chill

up and

down my

spine;

mesmerise me

with your

voice:

changing tone

and cadence,

its volume

falling to

whispers,

rising to

shouts;

at times

eerie,

at times

dreamy –

arresting

interesting

captivating

all at

once.

then,

when every

story

has been

told,

lull me

to sleep

in your

arms;

sing me

one of

your lullabies,

your sweet

dream songs

so that

even as

darkness

enfolds us

we share

we kindle

a little

bit of

light.
