A Lesson in Writing

“Not So Random Scribbling” – Makati, 29 June 2015

write a

line,

cross it

out,

start over

again

until you

get

the swing

the sway

the look

the feel

of a

tale.

don’t stop

don’t dither;

time’s flying

between the

lines

between two

sides

between the

sheets

and a

rock

and a

hard place.

write on

scribble down

key points

key words

to lead

readers

down into

garden paths

to adventure

to knowledge

to places

beyond;

never easy

never predictable

never boring:

this is

my world

my sphere.

and when

the tale

spins itself

out,

you take

your pen

start over

again.
