Twin Flames

“Firelight” – Paranaque, 2010

two bright

lights

shining in

the darkness;

two bright

souls

glittering like

stars

in the

vastness

of heaven.

and the

world

will try

to dim

the glow:

discourage us

deny us

decry us

but we

still shine

kindling kindred

sparks

to keep

the flames

alive;

directed passions

seeking

to climb

new heights

to reach

new horizons;

setting

the world

on fire

with

ideas

fresh

vivid

vibrant.

we cannot

fade

we cannot

falter

so long

as we

tend

our sparks

and never

grow dim

and never

flicker out.

mere men

can never

extinguish

the fires

the gods

light

from within.
