To Speak With Blossoms

white blossoms

for a

bridal;

white blooms

for a

grave;

scarlet poppy

for a

memory;

red roses

for the

brave.

we plant

we pick

we pluck

we give…

to what

end?

affection

affectation;

passion

provocation;

apology

annoyance;

we speak

with blooms

the very

words

our mouths

dare not

say.
