An All-Consuming Loneliness

no words

from me

let alone

for me:

no love songs

no pillow

talk

no tender

loving

soft-spoken

sentiments

lovingly said

whispered into

waiting ears.

just silence

just solitude

the deafening

wordless

song of so

many sorrows;

just a palpable

loneliness

curling

around me

like an

insidious mist

a fog

threatening

to choke

my life

away.

there is

no cure

there is

no hope:

like the

roses

i so crave

i will

but wither

i will

fade down

into nothingness;

unloved

unwanted

easily forgotten.
