Never Hide Your True Beauty

“Hidden Charm” – Muntinlupa, 03 May 2015

too often

women hide

their true

appeal

opting instead

to slap on

artifice

victims

slaves to

paint pots

scalpels and

unforgiving

pseudo-physicians.

it doesn’t –

it shouldn’t –

have

to be

like this:

we ought

to embrace

ourselves

for the

sheer magnificence

we were

born with

our birthright

our shining

selves.

who cares

what the

hucksters

starlets

slut-cakes

demon-bitches

say?

let these

thieves

let these

lying

cheating

hypocritical

harlots

rot behind

those whitened

sepulchers

they call

bodies:

you know

the truth

you know

your value.

you are

beautiful

just as

you are;

never

let them

take that

away

from you.
