“The Suicide” – Madalina Iordache-Levay, 2005

you have no

idea

how i

sometimes

wish

i were dead.

this painful

isolation,

this brutal

loneliness –

self-imposed,

they say;

more like

impressed on me,

forced on me,

shoved on me –

for being

different,

for being

unique,

for being

me.

death sentence

imposed by

a mundane world

that has lost

its faith,

its hope,

its love

of all thing –

of all persons –

magical.

sometimes

i wish

i could just

fade away…

and no one

and nobody

and nothing

will miss me.

  1. I know how this feeling goes. All the time. But many people would be bereaved if you faded away, and sometimes life surprises us with little reasons to stay a little longer.
