spring blossoms
beckon
maidens fair,
maidens dark:
come away
from labours
that weary
mind and soul!
rejoice,
rejoice
in youth
in beauty
in earth
renewed
refreshed
by dew
by breezes
zephyr’s balmy
breath
blowing
over meadow
over dale.
give
an ear
to faerie-song
to lark’s-trill
to the
babbling
chattering
din
of brook
of rill –
let nature’s
music
thrill you
out of
wintry
reverie!
dance;
dance
and sing
dawn till dusk
for the
spring
has come
but shan’t
stay long…
but we
will toast
will feast
will revel
while it
lasts.
