sorrowing mother

hold my

hand:

i am

alone

cold

frightened

by the

dreaded

dreadful

wickedness

around me

before me

behind me

within me.

sorrowing mother

hear my

plea:

my heart

lies sore

torn by

outrageous

hurts;

the stings

the barbs

of folly

of frailty.

sorrowing mother

find it

in your

heart

to help

this wretch

and guide

me home

to where

grief is naught

pain is absent;

where there

is naught

but love.
