“Morning Nourishment: Body/Soul” – January 2015

To greet a

new day

to rise and

face the

morning:

to break

new paths

at the

crack of

dawn;

charging,

battle-cry on

one’s lips

dawn chorus

with cockerel’s

crowing.

to face the

rising sun

with springtime’s face

with eager eyes:

to feel the

changing seasons

stirring,

roiling,

whirring

in one’s blood.

to rise up

to surge

forth

is to pander

at last

to the lion

within;

to move

from conquered

to conqueror,

vanquished

to victor.

the world

is yours –

all yours –

for the

taking.

seize it

claim it

own it

rule.
