“Still Life with Brioche” – Jean-Baptiste Simeon Chardin, 1763

To fill

a silent

house

with the

fragrance

of baking

bread

is to

spread

blessings

upon all

who

encounter

the intoxicating

revivifying

enlightening

heartening

aroma;

a silent

blessing

upon all

who dwell

within;

upon all

who partake

of grace.
