“The Painter and His Double” – Marc Chagall, 1981

close those

weary eyes;

open your

mind:

on the air,

broadcasting

transmissions

on frequencies

unknown.

the dream king

whispers

arcane secrets

to tell

the world;

open your

mind,

open your

heart,

bare your

soul.

hearken unto

truths

older than

the earth,

more

ancient than

the sky.

sing, dance;

tread a

different

measure,

o ye

sleepers!

march in

time

with dreams

spun skilfully

by restless

minds,

beating hearts.

fill the

world

with your

song:

break the

mumbling,

grumbling,

stumbling

inanity

that threatens

to turn

humanity

into

mindless drones,

soulless shells.

whisper your

thoughts into

sleeping

minds;

kindle banked

fires.

let them

know,

let them

feel,

let them

see

your magic,

your truth,

you.
