Dormant

“Red Flower” – Yuki Shinojo, 2010

i lie in wait

for the

moment:

to spring,

to seek,

to strike,

to smite:

to slaughter,

to slander,

to shame,

to maim.

i lie here

in the shadows:

biding my

time,

like a

slumbering

fire goddess.

when i

wake:

woe, woe,

and thrice

woe

to those

who dared

stand

in

my

way.
