Blank Page/Epitaph

The Unwritten – BGC, 04 December 2014

the clean slate,

the blank sheet

awaits the words,

the thoughts

rushing through

the chambers,

the hallways,

the corridors

of the mind.

the emptiness

begs to be

filled,

written over,

inscribed

by blood;

the thousand,

thousand

embittered

sentiments

of the

broken.

the silence

demands

laughter,

conversation,

sighs –

breaking,

shattering –

the sound

of hundreds

of quarrels;

a song

echoing

in the wind;

a cry

wailing

from the

distance.

write it down,

sully the white

space;

but what if:

the pen cannot

put down the

words,

imagination fails,

inspiration ends..

what then?

for sometimes:

some things are

better

left unsaid;

some things are

better

left undone.

perhaps,

it is

better

that way.
