No Endings

They say

death is the

end: of the road

of it all

of the wicked

of the just.

It is the

be-all,

the end-all.

Game over;

goodbye.

I say

it isn’t ;

it is a portal

a gateway

an in-road

to peace

sleep eternal

in true

comfort.

Awaken

away

from the grief

the toil

the mortal coil

of the mundane.

Death is

the sleep

from which

we wake

into

freedom.
